Archaeological recording carried out by Katharine Sawyer for Mr and Mrs J Banfield between August 2009 and March 2010 during the demolition of a holiday letting unit in a former agricultural outbuilding and the excavation of groundworks for the construction of a new house for local needs housing at Middle Tinks, Holy Vale, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly (NGR SV 9203 1150). The feature, presumably a wall or bank, which appears on the 1891 and 1909 maps to the east of Middle Tinks, was not found, although a single large dressed stone may have been from it. No archaeological features were uncovered during the course of the work and the only finds were late 19th/early 20th century pottery from the topsoil.

In the course of the watching brief it became apparent that a prehistoric settlement comprising four to five houses lay beneath the southern end of the site, and that this may have extended to the north and west, where the level of the soil strip was high enough not to reveal buried features, and to the south and east, which lay beyond the extent of the playing field area. In addition three structures were revealed that were identified as cairns of various types. All were associated with Bronze Age artefacts. Bearing in mind the potential damage to these important prehistoric features, and the resources required to undertake a full excavation, a decision was made by Mr Robert Dorrien-Smith to change the alignment and position of the pitch to allow the features to remain undamaged. The site was cleaned back to a level that did not disturb the prehistoric occupation layers further, photographed, and planned, before being reburied.

Archaeological recording carried out during alterations to the dwelling at Harry's Walls, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly between June 2010 and July 2011. The clearance of an area around the south-west part of the building was observed as well as the excavation of a septic tank pit in the north-west corner of the garden and soakaway trenches for the septic tank in the field to the west of the dwelling. In the area around the building, natural subsoil was encountered at a depth of 0.2m to 0.3m with garden soil above this. In the field to the west a similar stratigraphy was found. The only finds were three sherds of 19th or 20th century glazed pottery.

The results of the archaeological recording carried out in September 2015 during the excavation of groundworks for a new house on land adjacent to Trefusis, Pungie's Lane, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly (NGR SV 912 121). No structures, features or finds of archaeological interest were observed during the monitoring

Historic building recording of a probably 18th century cottage, later converted to a farm building. Archaeological monitoring of groundworks outside and inside the building revealed a range of 19th to early 20th century pottery and several deposits of limpet shells. No other structures or features were identified.

Archaeological monitoring carried out during and after management work on Helvear Down, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly. Two scheduled monuments, a round cairn (SM 15376) and a kerbed platform cairn (SM 15377), which are both on English Heritage's Scheduled Monuments at Risk Register, were cleared of vegetation and fallen trees by contractors employed by the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust, under their Higher Level Stewardship Agreement. Part of the chamber of the kerbed platform cairn was exposed during these works and was recorded by photographs and by plan and section drawings. The round cairn was photographed as were two other structures uncovered during the works.

A watching brief was carried out at the site of a new house which was to be built on the footprint of an earlier, demolished structure. The trenches for the new building were dug in blown sand. The excavation of the septic tank pit and soakway were not observed due to lack of notification. No structures, features or finds were uncovered.

A watching brief was carried out during groundworks for a new workspace (on the site of a demolished wooden dwelling house built about 80 years ago) and associated septic tank pit and soakaway. No archaeological structures, features or finds were uncovered.

Archaeological recording carried out by Katharine Sawyer for the Council of the Isles of Scilly in June 2011 following the excavation of ground works for a timber shed at Old Town Workshop, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly. Evidence for previous use of the site, in the form of levels of tarmac and concrete, was recorded but there were no structures, features or finds which pre-dated the late 19th or early 20th centuries.

Archaeological monitoring carried out by Katharine Sawyer at the site of the conversion of a garage to holiday accommodation. There were no discoveries of archaeological significance.
