On-going monitoring dives and survey, under the Nautical Archaeology Society (NAS) Adopt-a-Wreck Scheme, of the steam ship ROSALIE, sunk by torpedo in 1914.

Part of the larger 'England's Historic Seascapes' project, funded through the Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF) and distributed by English Heritage (EH). This part of the project characterised the historic coastal, inter-tidal and marine zone 'land'scapes between Southwold and Clacton in Suffolk, extending seaward to the Median line with Holland. The characterisation is intented to inform both coastal and marine management and planning. Approximate site coordinates for the NE and SE extents of the study area are given here, and derived from comparison of the character areas map in the project report with SeaZone mapping data. A field survey along 160 kilometres of the Norfolk inter-tidal zone aimed at identifying and documenting in writing/with drawings/photographs all archaeological sites within it to help with monitoring and management of these resources. Over 1000 structures/monuments/findspots and other features of potential interest were recorded, 272 formed the basis for entirely new entries in the Norfolk Historic Environment Record. The earliest find was a Late Palaeolithic/Mesolithic flint blade from Titchwell beach, and the oldest recorded, was a WW1 pillbox. Other finds/monuments included Post-Medieval wrecks, 17th-18th Century earthworks, Neolithing/Bronze Age flint artefacts and a Roman copper alloy bracelet, as well as other undated features.

This survey was one of a series of Rapid Coastal Zone Assessments undertaken on behalf of English Heritage around the English coast. The survey was divided into four areas: Bampton to Donna Nook; Donna Nook to Gibraltar Point; Gibraltar Point to Norfolk; and Whitby to Reighton. Site coordinates given here are approximate grid references for Whitby and Skegness - true extents of the study areas are shown in the project report, further details of which are available from the Archaeology Data Service website - http://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk The project has been indexed as in the marine zone to simplify indexing as it spans several parishes.

Geophysical and geotechnical survey which comprised bathymetric, sidescan sonar, and shallow seismic survey, vibrocore survey and environmental sampling of seabed sediments off Happisburg and Pakefiled respectively. The aim of the survey, which was commissionned by English Heritage (EH), and part of the wider Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund 'Seabed Prehistory' project, was to

Geophysical and Geotechnical survey of a 64ha area located in the south-eastern part of dredging area 254 (licensed to United Marine Aggregates Ltd), some 10km east of Great Yarmouth. The survey was commissionned by English Heritage and funded though Round 2 of the Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF). The survey was part of the wider ALSF 'Seabed Prehistory' project, and comprised sub-bottom profiling, sidescan sonar, single beam echosounder and vibrocores.The digital elevation model of the area's bathymetry revealed a mound, and sub-bottom profiler data indicated coarse sand and gravel overlain by intermittent fiine-grained sediment potentially containing peat, which was in turn overlain by gravelly sand. The vibrocores were assessed for polen, molluscan, waterlogged plant, diatom and other remains, and yielded charcoal deposited as early as the Cromerian Complex period.
