This document is an archaeological standing building recording (photographic survey) of 14 - 16 Top Street (External Elevations Only), Appleby Magna, Leicestershire (NGR SO 68683 98048). Listed Building Consent has been granted for the removal of the external render (Planning Application No 19/00623/LBC). The building is a traditionally built residential property, believed to date from the 17th century.

This document is an archaeological building survey (photographic survey) of an outbuilding associated with Holme's Farm, Foxton Road, Lubenham, Leicestershire (SP 69769 88348), commissioned from Archaeological Building Recording Services (ABRS) by Mr and Mrs Kanjurs in advance of the proposed conversion of the building to residential use. The building was originally the Officers Mess for RAF Market Harborough, a World War II era airfield. The airfield was constructed between 1942-43 with the first RAF personnel detachment arriving on June 1, 1943. The airfield was decommissioned in August 1945. The airfield itself came under Army control in 1946, while the residential quarters, including the Officers Mess were taken over by the National Assistance Board and later by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government in order to house displaced persons. Polish families were still living on the site as late as 1958. Following its abandonment, the building became part of Holme's Farm and was in agricultural use. The photographic survey provided a permanent visual (photographic) record of the building in its current state. The archive will be held by Leicestershire County Council Museums Service, under the accession number X.A42.2016.

This document is an archaeological building survey (photographic survey) of Barrack House, The Barracks, Barwell, Leicestershire (SP 44291 96765), commissioned from Archaeological Building Recording Services (ABRS) by NS and PS Property Developments Ltd in advance of the part demolition and conversion of the buildings and re-development of the site to residential use. The original building is a traditionally built factory building, later extended in the modernist style to create a visually interesting building reflecting the evolution of small scale regional manufacturing. The cramped site however prevented the factory from expanding, hampering the productivity and economic viability of the site. These late 19th and early 20th century small factory buildings were a key feature of the villages and small towns of this part of Leicestershire and are rapidly disappearing from the landscape. The photographic survey provided a permanent visual (photographic) record of the buildings in their current state. The archive will be held by Leicestershire County Council Museums Service, under the accession number X.A96.2018.

This document is an archaeological standing building recording (photographic survey) of Hillside Cottage, Lindley Brook, Bridgnorth, Shropshire (NGR SO 68683 98048). Planning permission has been granted for the demolition of the building and the redevelopment of the site to residential use (Planning Application No 18/01880/FUL). The building is a traditionally built residential property, believed to date from the 18th or 19th century. The building is located on the eastern edge of the hamlet of Lindley, some 5kms north - north west of Bridgnorth. The Senior Conservation and Design Officer (South), Shropshire Council has recommended that archaeological standing building recording (photographic survey) be carried out prior to any proposed works being carried out.

Archaeological Building Recording Services (ABRS) were commissioned by Dr J. Sanghera to undertake archaeological standing building recording (photographic survey) of an outbuilding at Grange Farm, St Peters Lane, Bickenhill, Warwickshire (SP 18820 82248 (Figures 1 and 2)). Planning permission has been granted to convert the outbuilding to residential use (Planning Application No 2013/571/FUL). The buildings are traditional timber framed and brick-built farm buildings, and are recorded on the first edition Ordnance Survey map as well as early 19th century maps.

Deeming to undertake archaeological standing building recording (photographic survey) of outbuildings at Home Farm, Main Street, Broadwell, Warwickshire (SP 45194 65999 . Planning permission has been granted to convert the outbuildings to residential use (Planning Application No R14/2302).

Archaeological Building Recording Services (ABRS) were commissioned to undertake archaeological standing building recording (photographic survey) of the former Hartshill Institute, originally the Hartshill Working Men's Association building at 287 Harsthill Road, Harsthill, Stoke-on-Trent (SJ 86624 45788). Planning permission and Listed Building consent has been granted to convert the building to residential use.

Archaeological Building Recording Services (ABRS) were commissioned by Mr C. Jackson to undertake archaeological standing building recording (photographic survey) of The Old Cow Shed, 6A Church Lane, Old Dalby, Leicestershire (NGR SK 67250 23550). Planning Permission has been granted by Melton Borough Council for demolition of the building and the redevelopment of the site to residential use (Planning Application No 21/00398/FUL). The building is a traditionally built redundant agricultural building, believed to date from the early 20th century. The building is located to the south west of Church Lane, at the south western edge of the historic settlement core of Old Dalby.

This document is an archaeological building survey (photographic survey) of three Nissen Huts on land adjacent to No. 7 Nailstone Road, Barton in the Beans, Leicestershire (SK 39947 06482), commissioned from Archaeological Building Recording Services (ABRS) by Cadeby Homes Ltd in advance of the demolition of the buildings and the re-development of the site for residential use. Nissen Huts are a key feature of 20th century and military architecture, originally devised for a purely military and temporary use the buildings were retained and erected across the country providing cheap, easily and quickly assembled buildings for a multitude of uses. These three huts, although not in an original military site are good examples of the re-use of the Nissen Hut in the early post World War II era. The photographic survey provided a permanent visual (photographic) record of the buildings in their current state. The archive will be held by Leicestershire County Council Museums Service, under the accession number X.A74.2016.

This document is an archaeological standing building survey of Church Gate and outbuildings, Whilton, Northamptonshire (SP 63649 64770), commissioned from Archaeological Building Recording Services (ABRS) by Mr J. Thompson in advance of the proposed conservation of the house and conversion of the outbuildings to residential use. Church Gate is an interesting range of buildings built as a village farm in the mid to late 17th century, its location, immediately adjacent to the church suggests it may have originally been a house of higher than average status. Cartographic sources indicate that the outbuildings were originally more numerous and were demolished in the early 20th century. This suggests the demolished buildings may have been 17th century also and the site ceased to be a working farm. Both the domestic house and outbuildings have suffered as a result of modern alterations, leaving little of historical or architectural significance. There is sufficient structural evidence to confirm the 17th century date attributed to the building by the listing description and the outbuildings do retain a number of interesting features; most notably the mullioned window fronting the Green and the attractively finished gable. There is also a cob-built wall in A3, dating cob buildings is notoriously difficult, cartographic sources confirm the wall is likely to be early 19th century at least, its location marks the boundary with the churchyard which is medieval in date, so the wall itself could be much earlier. The archive will be retained by ABRS until deposition with Northamptonshire County Council can be arranged under the Event Number ENN109121.
