This collection comprises of text data, images, spreadsheets and site records from a trial trench evaluation carried out by Connect Archaeology at Halse Copse Farm, Northamptonshire between August and October 2020.

Project Summary

An archaeological trial trench evaluation took place between the 24th of August 2020 and 15th of October 2020. The evaluation encompassed two parcels of land at Halse Copse Farm, located c. 1.5km to the southeast of Greatworth Village. The evaluation comprised the excavation of a total of 116 trial trenches and identified archaeological features consisting of furrows, irregular linear ditches and probable post-medieval agricultural field boundaries running parallel with the existing hedgerows. No artefactual material was observed or recovered during excavation.

Re-Use Value Statement

While no artefactual material was observed or recovered during excavation, post-medieval archaeological features were identified and recorded. The digital archive for Halse Copse Farm may prove valuable for any future developments in the area.
