Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Introduction

This collection comprises of text, images, videos, 3D models, LiDAR, vector and GIS data from a historic landscape study and setting recording commissioned by Fusion and undertaken by Wardell Armstrong on the landscape at Chetwode, Buckinghamshire between January 2020 and July 2022. GIS data has been uploaded to ADS directly by HS2.

Project Summary

The study area included the entirety of Chetwode conservation area and a number of built heritage assets, some designated and some non-designated. The study has confirmed the survival of elements of both the medieval and post-medieval landscape. Survey has also documented how the landscape has evolved during the 18th and 19th centuries with the enlargement of some land parcels and re-alignment of roadways and tracks. The most significant of the more recent interventions is the cutting of the Great Central Railway (GCR) the route of which passes to the south-west of Chetwode.

Re-Use Value Statement

This study comprises a documentary and drone video/photogrammetric record of the landscape, which can be used for future analysis.
