This collection comprises images and GIS data from an archaeological evaluation carried out by Cotswold Archaeology in December 2020 at Chear Fen Farms, Ely Road, Chittering, Cambridgeshire. A total of 112 trenches were excavated at the site.
The evaluation recorded a single possible prehistoric pit, a modern boundary/drainage ditch, three possible minor drainage ditches, and an intensive spread of late post-medieval/modern marl pits/trenches (pits for the extraction of clay to use as an agricultural fertiliser). A possible relict land surface was recorded in 12 trenches.
Clayey deposits recorded in six trenches were probably indicative of former watercourses/wet areas within the site, including a possible pond in the site's south-western corner and a former watercourse running through the centre of the site.
