Introduction

Magnetometer data plot
Magnetometer data plot

This collection comprises geophysics data and images of processed magnetometer data from a geophysical survey on land to the north of Willow Brook, King's Cliffe, Northamptonshire. Work was undertaken by MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) in February 2023.

The survey identified a complex of ditches and possible ironworking remains in the north-east of the survey area, where Roman pottery and undated iron slag had previously been observed. Other features of possible archaeological interest, mostly comprising isolated lengths of ditch and suspected patches of ironworking debris, were sparsely distributed across the remainder of the area.
