Distinctive FeaturesThis type features a roughly cylindrical body with a short, broad neck and lightly everted rim. The base comprises a distinctive, large, tapering spike (similar to the Beltrán 2A). The handles are small and oval, lying below the shoulders towards the top of the body. The form appears to be derived from Punic transport containers (Tripolitanian types) but the clay clearly differs from these types.See characteristics | ||
