Distinctive Features

This has a large globular body with thick, sharply bent or oval shaped handles, a short neck often with an internally concave rim and a small basal knob (Enguix & Aranegui, 1977; Gisbert Santonia, 1987).

It was produced at different workshops along the Spanish Levantine coast (Valencia region). At least three workshops have been recognized at Oliva, Almadrava and Catarroja (Gisbert Santonia, 1991).
