Distinctive Features

This has a thick everted rim with a tapering lip and long handles sharply bent over directly below the rim. There is a wide neck and a body which widens towards the base with a longish spike, either hollow or solid (Beltrán Lloris, 1970; Peacock & Williams, 1986; García Vargas, 1998). In the latest stage of production, the handles are joined to the rim. There is a smaller variant (parva) of this form (= Augst 30).
