Examples from Benghazi were in a medium-hard orange fabric and a hard sandy-grey (10YR 4/2) fabric fired reddish-brown at the edges and containing small white inclusions.
In thin-section, the sample of the Benghazi fabric contained much limestone, including foraminifera, and grains of quartz (Peacock & Williams, 1986: Class 54).
