Introduction

Culland Farm, South Wingfield, Derbyshire. Historic Building Recording. (OASIS ID: archaeol5-397731)

In January 2020, Archaeological Research Services Ltd were commissioned by Garner Holdings Ltd to undertake an historic building recording at Culland Farm, South Wingfield, Derbyshire. The building recording, which also included an intra-demolition watching brief of the farmhouse undertaken in May 2020, was undertaken to discharge conditions 3 and 4 of the planning permission (Application Ref. No.AVA/2019/0552) prior to partial demolition of the farmstead (dwelling and outbuilding) and renovation, converting the site into two residential units comprising ancillary accommodation, installation of a private sewage treatment plant and improvements of the access junction.
