In July 2020, Archaeological Research Services Ltd was commissioned to undertake a historic building recording of a flat, cafe, and outbuildings at Old Bolsover Yard, Castle Street, Bolsover, Derbyshire. The plot of land containing the site of Old Bolsover Yard, adjacent to Castle Street, has most likely supported a building facing onto Castle Street from the late medieval/ early post-medieval period as alluded to by historic mapping dating from the 17th century. It is extremely difficult to identify any surviving historic fabric of this date as the site has undergone considerable redevelopment in the 20th and 21st century.
