All overseas fee paying applicants for Masters courses (excluding joint courses offered with Bradford and UMIST), M.Phil and Ph.D. will be automatically considered for a departmental bursary of £1,000.

Departmental Conference Support for Postgraduate Students

The department can make grants of up to £250 available to enable postgraduates to attend conferences in the UK or abroad. Preference is normally given to those who are presenting papers, or acting as co-organisers or discussants.

No closing date, but applications are encouraged as soon as possible after the beginning of September.

The Department will be informed in the near future if they are eligible for this award, which normally provides for tuition fees and a payment of £1500 per annum.

Humanities and Social Sciences Divisional Research Scholarships - Scheme B

Departments will be awarded a full-time PhD Scholarship for each full-time fully funded studentship awarded from an external source. At this point Departmental eligibility cannot be confirmed.

Conart Bursaries

The Department will be offering a limited number of bursaries for self-funding students. These bursaries are specially designed for research and/or courses in Aegean archaeology.
