Introduction

Nexus 25, Taunton, Somerset: Evaluation and excavation (OASIS ID: cotswold2-376802)

In May 2019, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation of land covering Phases 1 and 2 of the proposed Nexus 25 development, Taunton, Somerset. A total of 10 trenches were excavated within the site. The evaluation recorded evidence for a late prehistoric/Roman field system, as well as localised evidence for Roman industrial activity and Roman demolition waste.
