Summary
DescriptionCraddocks Wire Rope Factory produced aeroplane cord for the government. The factory employed a large number of women to fill the jobs of men recruited into the military, Women were employed in a number of roles in the factory, including on the factory floor producing wire rope, as well as within the offices performing clerical tasks. The factory has since been demolished.
