Summary
Description'Canmore listing shows 'Aboyne, Croft Road, drill hall is a simple single-storey double-pitched hut on the north edge of the village. It survives with modern harling and roofing and is still in use as a cadet hall. In 1914 it was the drill station for G Squadron, 2nd Scottish Horse and the base for F Company, 7th Battalion Gordon Highlanders. The hall does not appear on the 1900 1:2500 Ordnance Survey map. Information from HS/RCAHMS World War One Audit Project (GJB) 18 June 2013.' Still in military use by ACF.
