Description | A familiar landmark on Broadgate, the Drill Hall opened in 1890 paid for by Lincoln industrialist Joseph Ruston. After its use as a drill hall, it has been a venue for wrestling, bingo and live bands including the Rolling Stones on New Year's Eve 1962. It is now a popular venue for all sorts of performing arts. Two storey castellated front block with central tower and stone facings. Large hall behind and accessed from rear. 4th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment (HQ, A, E and H Companies). | ||||
