Full Record - 45 a High Street (PRN: 22312)

PRN22312
Site or location name45 a High Street
Summary
DescriptionListed under 'Offices'. Building is a two storey building that is used as commercial premises to the ground floor and appears to be residential to the first floor. The building is likely to be of brick and mortar construction, however, the façade of the building (facing the High Street) is covered in rendering so it is impossible to tell the style of construction used. The double pitched roof appears to be made of tile but looks to be a modern refurbishment. There is a chimney stack to the right hand side of the roof, which is oriented transversely, with a single chimney pot present. The ground floor of the building is currently occupied by a fashion outlet and has two large floor to ceiling glass windows with a central double door, also glass. There is a large signage above the ground floor windows and door which runs the entire length of the façade. The first floor has two large glass bay windows which again appear to be modern replacements. The building is adjoined on both sides to other properties, although the one to the right hand side of the property is set back from the High Street. This building is part of a row of shops – originally a row of buildings. At one point there was an alley which allowed access to the rear of the building.'
