DescriptionFrom Canmore 'This building was erected in 1846 as a Free Church School and schoolhouse. It is built of coursed rubble with margins. The schoolhouse has two storeys, three bays and a slate roof. The school is single-storey, with two parallel pitched roofs, with a side door at a slightly lower level than three windows on the west elevation, two windows to the east. The gable has a porched entrance. It is not clear whether both the school and the school house were used as the drill hall. The building is now in use as offices. In 1914 the hall was drill station for 'G' Company 7th battalion Black Watch. Information from HS/RCAHMS World War One Audit Project (GJB) 24 June 2013.'
