Summary
DescriptionCanmore states 'The drill hall in The Haugh, East Wemyss was built before the First World War. It appears on the 3rd epoch Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map, but is not specifically labelled as a drill hall. The drill hall comprises a two-storey three-bay front block with a single-storey wing on one side and a two-storey house on the other. The gable of the front block is the same height as the ridge of the hall, behind. In 1914 the hall was drill station for the Fifeshire Battery, 2nd Highland Brigade Royal Field Artillery, and the base for 'G' Company, the Highland Cyclist Battalion. It is now a residence. Information from HS/RCAHMS World War One Audit Project (GJB) 24 June 2013.'
