DescriptionCanmore gives 'The Lochcarron drill hall is marked on the 2nd edition OS 1:2500 map. It comprises two parallel halls with a gabled entrance porch and is now in use as the village hall. In 1914 it was the base for the Ross & Cromarty [Mountain] Battery, 4th Highland Mountain Brigade, Royal Garrison Artillery.
