Summary
DescriptionCanmore gives 'The drill hall on the corner of Overton Street was in place by 1889. It comprises a two-storey front block with, behind, a single-storey hall. It was described in 1908 as 'commodious halls and drill-instructor's house'. In 1914 it was the base for 'F' Company, 9th battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. The building has now been converted into four dwellings. Information from HS/RCAHMS World War One Audit Project (GJB) 23 October 2013.'
