Summary
DescriptionCanmore gives 'The Alva drill hall is marked on both 2nd and 3rd epoch OS 1:2500 maps at the corner of Park Street and Copland Place. The front block has two storeys and three bays facing Park Street with a Dutch gable over the door and semi-dormers. It is harled and white-washed with brick dressings. The hall and an internal firing range lie behind. In 1914 it was the base for 'F' Company , 7th battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. The building is extant and is still a TA centre.
