Description | Two storey front office with seven bay north light factory shed to rear. The former Stevens engine factory was sold to Clyno in 1910 who re-located from Thrapston, Northamptonshire to manufacture motorcycles. The firm bought the former Humber cycles Ashes Works across the road in 1912. Although locally listed the site together with the Tower (Ashes) Works will be re-developed for housing as announced August 2015. Clyno produced motorycycle side-car units for the Machine Gun Corps and later in war Dragonfly aero engines. | ||||
