DescriptionBerrington Station served as a receiving station during the First World War. Over 200 Receiving Stations were established throughout the UK. Hospital Trains would transport the wounded to these stations, where they would be processed and transferred to nearby Hospitals. Information courtesy of the National Railway Museum.
