Description47A Percy Gardens was used as a command centre for coastal artillery, with an O.P and range Finder in the roof. Some time in or after 1916 a 6 storey tower was built on to the back to control the new Tyne Turrets at Old Hartley and Marsden. It was retained in use until after WW2. Now a private residence.
