Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Overview

No Man's Sky Archaeological Project

Through rigorous documentation, Reinhard created a gazetteer of 30 abandoned sites, recording hundreds of digital images and videos of each location, supplementing with maps and synthetic text.

  • 45 DOC files containing synthetic text including site descriptions and interpretation. Ca. 100kb/file.
  • 19 XLS files containing records of inscriptional evidence found on-site. Ca. 150kb/file.
  • 16 JPG map files, one per site. Ca. 1MB/file.
  • 161 MP4/MOV video files showing site features, excavation and survey footage, walkthroughs, and flyovers (drone footage). Ca. 100MB/file.
  • 2,931 JPG image files documenting sites, landscapes, artifacts, and features of each of the 30 sites in the survey. Ca. 1MB/file.

The digital archive comprises all files generated in electronic format created during the course of the NMSA project, and for which permissions have been granted for deposit.
