Title | Wharram. A Study of Settlement on the Yorkshire Wolds, XII. The Post-medieval Farm and Vicarage Sites | |
Abstract | This volume deals with the history of settlement at Wharram Percy from the early 16th to early 19th centuries. It details the documentary evidence for the final depopulation of the medieval village homesteads, and for the occupation and use of the 17th century and later farmstead and vicarage. The aretfacts associated with these two homesteads constitute one of the most significant and extensive assemblages from a small rural community of this period |
