Notes: | Mid-late first century AD clay floor deposit, probably contemporary with floor surface (6014). However, further investigation is needed to be certain and samples have been taken to determine the materials used and to compare with (6014). In the section taken for micromorphological analysis, it is clear that the deposit consists of nurmerous micro-layers. (6024) is in close proximity to beam slot [5997]. Strat below (5996). Composition: | Compact, mid-grey / yellow silty clay Inclusions: 15-35% stones (S-A) (S-R) (R) ranging in size from 2mm to 6cm; 10% CBM (3cm-16cm) Extent: 1.7m x 0.94m |
