Further Information: Quarry is now filled in, with a housing estate built over it. It was out of production by 1893 (Arkell 1947: 102). This quarry yielded stone for Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury Abbey. It extracted both the 'Chelynch beds' and the 'Fine beds'.
