General Colour Description:

A light brown, occasionally yellow colour with occasional greenish tints.

Hand Specimen Description:

A hard, crystalline calcareous sandstone with a rough feel, which is coloured by iron oxide. The beds are current bedded and very variable in composition, some soft, some shelly, others argillaceous and they occasional pass into sandy limestones resembling Kentish Rag (Howe 1910: 164).
