A coarse, hard, compact slate which is moderately well sorted with a hackly fracture.

General Comments:

This stone was originally a tuff, a volcanic ash deposit, it was subsequently metamorphosed to form a 'meta-tuff' slate.

Stone Identifiers: Foliated.
Reacts dilute to HCl? No
