Usage

General Comments:

The light coloured stone is most suitable for statues since it is softer and easier to work. The mid colour is suitable for ashlar and mullions, and the dark, harder material is suitable for paving (Hart 1988: 9).

Known Usage: St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh: Paving,
Lincoln Cathedral: Restoration.,
Merchant Taylors' Hall, London.
