General Comments:

Clee Hill Dolerite is a hard, durable rock which is resistant to wear and has been quarried for roadstone, setts and kerbs on Cleehill. It was never a building stone of any significance except in proximity to the coalmines and quarries of Titterstone Clee Hill, where the dolerite is conveniently located for some opportunistic construction of squatter cottages (Scard 1990: 83).
