Usage

General Comments:

Large blocks can be obtained so that in addition to copings, sinks and troughs it is well suited for monumental work. Further examples include cathedrals, colleges, municipal and domestic buildings and churches. More recently it has been widely used to replace weaker limestones in buildings such as the Houses of Parliament, York Minster and Eton College. It is the hardest of all the Lincolnshire Limestones being durable, robust and famed for its excellent resistance to decay.
