General Colour Description:

Buff/brown in colour to yellowish grey. Two types are quarried today, Dunhouse 'Buff' a creamy buff sandstone and Dunhouse 'Grey' a grey/buff stone.

Hand Specimen Description:

A medium grained, hard, granular (slightly micaceous) sandstone which is well sorted with a rough feel.
