Usage

General Comments:

This is a good, durable freestone used as a building stone, and for walling, paving, kerbstones, fireplaces, tombstones and dressings. It is easily worked and thus favoured for decorative carved work, such as seen in local churches (Lott 2001: 106). The white weathers better than the red.
