A cream/white colour.

Hand Specimen Description:

A fine to medium grained, soft, compact stone which is well sorted with a smooth feel. The rock is often porous and very light. It comprises colloidal silica in the form of sponge spicules, globules and granular cement. Quartz, mica and glauconite are present in small amounts only. Ill defined nodules of chert also occur, in addition to phosphatic nodules (Davies 1939: 96-7).
