General Colour Description:

The 'Upper' or ' White Bed' is a white or light cream/buff coloured siliceous rock whereas the 'Blue Bed' yields a darker coloured calcareous stone.

Hand Specimen Description:

A medium grained, hard, oolitic limestone which is well sorted with a rough feel. Two beds can be seen, firstly the 'Upper' or ' White Bed' which is a light cream coloured siliceous rock and the 'Blue Bed' which yields a darker calcareous stone.
