Description: | Bridgnorth Bridge, originally built in 1810 and located upstream of the quarries was in frequent need of repair work on its masonry in the 19th century. It was believed that Highley, or a similar stone from Arley, a little to the south, was used on the facework and the decorative elements such as the parapets (Scard 1990: 61 - 62). | |||||
