This paper brings together the evidence for the Late Bronze Age enclosure at Queen Mary's Hospital, Carshalton. Material from the 1937 and 1939 excavations has been studied and compared with the material from the 1903-4 investigations, which has only recently become available for study. The resulting analysis includes the redating of the site, an assessment of the diagnostic importance of the pottery and other finds, and a suggestion of the original function of the perforated clay slabs. The detailed catalogue of the pottery is given on microfiche (now online on this website).
