At the new housing site, work has just commenced. No section visible more than four feet in depth.
Loam, stratified sandy gravel and lumps of chalky sludge exposed, although on the same level as the lower Furze Platt terrace, more likely connected with the upper F.P. terrace., (sketch of exposed section)

B - Loam deposit varying from 6" to 3' in depth. Containing a few flints, some angular ones of remarkable size.
