Artefact no 3668-3673 , Flint/chalcedony flakes from the surface in the Calies Mountains near the ancient Lake Manix.
Artefact no 3674 , Chalcedony flake made by myself from the rock outcropping in Mule Canyon, the source of the chalcedony in the fan gravels, where excavations for Dr Louis Leakey by Ruth de Etse Simpson have produced alleged artifacts. The sample seen during the conference conviced me that they are the result of natural agencies.
Thursday 15th October - Friday 30th October.
Visited Rancho La Brea, Los Angeles, now being excavated.
