About nine feet of slightly-bedded sub-angular gravel in a tenacious reddish clay matrix.
Sharp unabraded nodules of flint lying on the chalk base of the gravel.
One thin unstained flake with slight secondary working found in the fallen material.
A thick black flake found in situ, about 5 feet from the surface. Also a small much-abraded ochreous flake., (sketch of exposed section)
