Wotton Hatch, Surrey, 11/9/1966
The Forestry Commission Nursery known as Bury Hill and looks much neglected and there is little open ground. No mesolithic artifacts seen of any consequence.
Swanscombe, Kent, 17/9/1966
A visit to Barfield Pit, Swanscombe, and the Botany Pit, Purfleet, with David Parish and Brett Hendry. Good sections visible in the latter pit although most of the gravel has been worked out and no artifacts were found. The gravel remaining at the outer edge of this spread apparently associated with the Mar Dyke is on Coombe Rock.
Henley: Highlands, Oxfordshire, 20/10/1966
A brief visit with Mr MacRae to Highlands Pit, Rotherfield Pit. A little gravel is exposed and flakes lie around it.
