Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Discusses a group of twenty-two glass goblets, dating to the seventeenth century, that have contemporary repairs to their stems. It is suggested that the repairs used are conspicuous and would probably not have been effective in the long term. This paper compares these stems with repaired vessels of other media and periods to ascertain whether there were additional motives for the retention of damaged material culture. | ||||||||
