The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 reports on the excavation of a Iron Age enclosure, which contained two significant structures. One of these buildings appears to have been the most important construction on the site during the Mid- to Late- Iron Age. Occupation at the site appears to have been largely aceramic, except for the use of Cheshire Very Coarse Pottery (VCP). The site's immediate landscape seems to have been woodland, although this changed to willow scrub-woodland during the Late Iron Age or Early Romano-British period. Pottery indicates that the site was re-occupied during the second century AD, although no structures were identified from this period. Samples of wood and charcoal used for radiocarbon analysis provided dates for the occupation of the site which ranged between 1000--800 cal BC and 1000--1230 cal AD. A carved wooden pyramid was found at the site, dating to the Late Bronze Age, it has been interpreted as possibly being a plinth.
