Abstract:
Comparison of English churches such as Glastonbury, Canterbury and Deerhurst with Continental churches such as Gemrode, Centula and Corvey brings out the simplicity and traditionalism of the English examples, though on a smaller scale their galleries and W porches imitated the greater Continental ones. Some of the sculptural fragments indicate the processional stations that we have lost.
