There is evidence of literacy on a site that may indicate an undetected high status and/or monastic community dating from the late seventh century AD. There are fourteen buildings in three areas with three possible structural phases. Finds include a lead plaque inscribed with seven or eight names and a silver ring engraved with half the alphabet. | |||||
